For $19.99 per student, this interactive experience includes a live read-aloud, an autographed book for every student, and an engaging social-emotional learning lesson that inspires confidence, kindness, and meaningful conversations. Available to schools within 60-90 miles of Downtown Los Angeles.
How to Book: Select your book, then choose the quantity of books—one for each participating student. After placing your order, you’ll provide three preferred visit dates so Shannon can coordinate and confirm your school’s visit.
Meet Shannon Spires
Founder of Childish Behavior | Author | Educator | Tutor
Shannon Spires is an experienced educator, children’s author, and dedicated advocate for student growth who has spent more than two decades helping children develop both academically and personally. With teaching experience spanning from Los Angeles to Hawai‘i, she has worked with a wide range of students across different learning styles, backgrounds, and needs. Her approach is rooted in the belief that true learning goes beyond academics—focusing on building confidence, emotional awareness, and a strong sense of self in every child she supports.
In 2000, Shannon founded Childish Behavior Tutoring to provide personalized, one-on-one academic support for K–8 students. Her tutoring model is intentionally designed to meet each child where they are, using trauma-informed practices, behavior-sensitive instruction, and creative learning strategies to make education both effective and engaging. In 2022, she expanded her impact by becoming a published children’s author, creating stories centered on kindness, emotional learning, and student empowerment. Today, based in Lake Elsinore, California, Shannon offers both in-person and virtual tutoring, along with school visits, readings, and literary events—continuing her mission to support the whole child and help every student reach their full potential, one breakthrough at a time.
